Drawing from their experiences with the Children & Nature Networks: Natural Leaders Initiative and Action for Conservation, Richard Louv and Hendrikus van Hensbergen will lead a workshop on how young people can take the lead for nature. This will provide inspiration, guidance and information that will enable young people to plan how they can make a difference in their own local places.

A hands-on and interactive session to give young people the experience of delivering environmental games and activities. Activities will be drawn from sources such as Joseph Cornell’s ‘Sharing Nature’ and the Mission Explore suite of activity books.
Gain the understanding and skills to deliver basic bushcraft sessions safely! This session will look at ways of safely managing activities such as fire lighting, tool use and shelter building.
Using the local Craigellachie (National Nature Reserve) NNR this session will teach you how to improve your nature ID skills looking at the use of simple keys and hints and tips for identifying common species of trees, plants and animals.
